Best Towns to Visit in Vermont
Burlington
Burlington is one of my favorite towns in Vermont. Home to the University of Vermont, this town is filled with breweries, fun bars & restaurants, and shopping. It sits on picturesque Lake Champlain, making it a great place to explore in warmer seasons.
Stowe
Stowe is one of the most famous areas in Vermont in all seasons. The charming town offers many cute bars, restaurants and coffee shops.
It also is home to Stowe Mountain Resort, a charming resort about 10 minutes from downtown. Stowe Mountain resort is one of the most stunning ski resorts in New England. I’ve stayed at the hotel there – The Lodge at Spruce Peak, and it is one of the most amazing ski resorts I;ve stayed at.
It’s right in the main village and walkable to several chairlifts/gondolas to access the mountain. There’s several bars & restaurants in the hotel, and a huge heated outdoor pool with mountain views.
The main village is filled with apres ski spots, ice skating rinks, shops & more.
Killington
Killington is another great town to visit in Vermont in all seasons. The ski resort is one of the most popular in New England & there’s tons of accommodations nearby.
Killington is also home to The PIckle Barrel, which is one of my favorite apres ski bars I’ve ever been to. Long Trail Brewery is also a great spot right near by.
In the summer Killington is a great jumping off point for hiking, swimming, boating & more.
Woodstock
If you’re looking for a quiet, quaint New England town, try Woodstock. It’s straight out of a postcard. The small town as a a typical covered bridge, a series of cozy taverns & restaurants and charming inns for you to stay, like the Woodstock Inn
