Fairytale Towns in Europe Series: Part 2/3 ⬇️

Europe is full of towns and cities that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale & I’ll be sharing some of my favorites here:

1. Hallstatt, Austria 🇦🇹

This lakeside town was the inspiration for Frozen and is one of my favorite European towns to explore in any season

2. Foroglio, Switzerland 🇨🇭

One of the most unique villages in Switzerland tint Foroglio is filled with quaint stone huts and epic mountains and waterfall views

3. Rothenberg ob der Tauber, Germany 🇩🇪

This epic medieval town really does feel like it’s from a storybook with its colorful gingerbread houses and castles

4. Chania, Greece 🇬🇷

Chania is one of the major cities in Crete, Chania’s Old town is filled with picturesque alleys and a colorful harbor that feels like it’s out of a movie

5. Venice, Italy 🇮🇹

Despite it being a major city, Venice has retained its small, fairytale feel with its dreamy canals, charming cafes & winding alleyways

7 days in Greece itinerary: option 2⬇️

This is one of my favorite Greece 7 day itinerary options for venturing to islands outside of the Cyclades (Santorini, Mykonos, Paris, etc.) This is a great itinerary if you’re adventurous and love mountains and epic beaches

Day 1: Athens
I always recommend spending a day in Athens since you have to fly through there anyways and I find it to be such an underrated city!

One day in Athens allows you to head straight to the Acropolis & explore then head to the Ancient Agora, grab lunch in Monastiraki square.

Spend your afternoon exploring Plaka before heading to one of Athens many rooftop bars & restaurants for dinners with a sunset view over the Acropolis

Day 2-4: Crete

From Athens head to my favorite Greek island, Crete! You’ll need to fly from Athens to Chania, Crete. It takes less than an hour

Crete is a bit less touristy than Santorini and Mykonos and much larger. 3 days will really only give you time to explore one area of Crete and I’d recommend Western Crete.

Spend your first day exploring Chania, your second visiting Elafonisi & Falasarna Beach and your third venturing to Balos Lagoon and visiting Kissamos!

Days 5-7: Corfu
From Crete catch a flight to Corfu (you’ll need to fly through Athens, the whole trip takes about 3 hours

Corfu is large like Crete, I recommend staying on the West Coast (where the best beaches are) near Palaiokastritsa or a little south of there

Definitely rent a car for exploring this large island. Spend one day exploring charming Corfu town, one day road-tripping to the best spots in Corfu

This is the route I’d take:
- Kassiopi
- Canal d’Amour
- Porto Timoni Beach
- Bella Vista Viewpoint
- Monastery of Palaiokastritsa
- La Grotta Bar

Spend your last day enjoying one of Corfus many amazing beaches - I recommend staying at a hotel on the beach I stayed at Domes of Corfu and could not recommend it more!

10 best rooftop bars in Rome ⬇️

Perfect spots to unwind after a long day of exploring Rome 🥂

1. Roof Garden at Hotel Relais Fontana di Trevi - my fave rooftop with Trevi fountain views

2. Hotel Fontana - another option for Trevi fountain views this one has better views of the fountain but I like the overall vibe of the Roof Garden much more!

3. Aroma - a Michelin star restaurant with the most unreal rooftop colosseum views, worth it if you want to splurge!

4. Oro Bistrot - near the Colosseum but without any views of it it overlooks the Victor Emmanuel monument this is a charming spot for a sunset drjnk!

5. American Bar - another great spot near the Colosseum (although you can’t see it from the roof)

6. 47 Circus Roof Garden - awesome rooftop for sunset and views over the Tiber

7. Cielo Terrace - one of my favorite spots next to the Spanish Steps with unreal sunset views

8. Navona Queen rooftop - a stunning rooftop near Piazza Navona with Vatican views

9. Minuetto - located inside Castelo Sant’Angelo this is the best spot to see the sunset over the Vatican

10. La Terazza de Cesari - a cute rooftop near the Pantheon
