North Conway, New Hampshire is one of my favorite mountain towns anywhere. Nestled in the heart of the White Mountains this town offers stunning views in every direction. Between the lakes, rivers & hiking of the summer, the world famous fall foliage, and the endless activities for winter adventurers, North Conway is a popular destination in any season.
I’ve been visiting North Conway several times a year for my entire life, and have had the opportunity to stay at many of the hotels in North Conway and surrounding towns in the White Mountains like Jackson, Bartlett & Bretton Woods. I’ve put together my 8 favorite hotel options in the area below.

North Conway Grand Hotel
Best Overall
North Conway Grand Hotel is one of my favorite places to stay in North Conway! It’s located right downtown and is walkable to the Settlers Green shopping and restaurant area. The hotel has an outdoor pool that’s heated year round with epic mountain views. There is also an indoor pool, onsite restaurant, gym, arcade & more. This hotel can a bit a bit on the pricy side, but to me, the location and amenities make it worth it!

The Wentworth
Best for a Quiet Weekend Getaway
The Wentworth Inn in Jackson is another one of my favorite places to stay in the White Mountains. Jackson is a tiny, charming town just north of North Conway, it’s generally a bit quieter than North Conway. It’s picturesque, and has some of my favorite bars & restaurants in the area. The Wentworth is a quintessential, upscale New England inn with a fun bar, mountain views, a golf course & more.
If you’re looking for a quieter weekend getaway that’s still close to all of North Conway’s main attractions I highly recommend the Wentworth!

Golden Gables Inn
Best Value
My family has been staying at Golden Gables for years! This motel is in the perfect location right on the main strip of North Conway is clean and recently updated, has an outdoor pool/fire-pit and games area, and generally reasonably priced!
This is a great family spot!

Omni Mount Washington Resort
Best Luxury Option
If you’re looking to splurge, and don’t mind staying a bit outside of North Conway, this hotel is in Bretton Woods, about 40 minutes from North Conway & right near the infamous Mt. Washington! This upscale hotel has some of the most insane White Mountain views from the terrace and pool area. There’s also several restaurants & bars, a golf course & more.
This place is the perfect splurge for a romantic weekend getaway!

Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash
Best for Families
I stayed at the Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash on a recent trip to North Conway and can’t recommend it enough! This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring the White Mountains. It’s located right at the base of Bear Peak in Attitash, making it the perfect place to stay in the winter, but it’s also great for summer and fall exploring! The outdoor pool is open year round, there is an onsite restaurant & pub, and a to go cafe for breakfast, lunch, coffee, snacks, etc.
This is a great place to stay with kids!

Residence Inn by Marriott North Conway

Residence Inn by Marriott is another one of my favorite places to stay in downtown North Conway. The location can’t be beat, and it’s easy to walk or drive to any of the nearby shops and restaurants on Rt. 16. The rooms are clean and modern, the breakfast is great and there is an indoor pool that’s great in the winter!

Cranmore Mountain Lodge
Best Bed & Breakfast
If you’re looking for a Bed & Breakfast in North Conway, the recently renovated Cranmore Mountain Lodge offers a quaint & quiet weekend escape 2 miles away from downtown North Conway.
They offer complimentary breakfast and on-site pool & hot tub. Their restaurant is also open for dinner (guests only) with a prix fixe menu offering a choice of 2 salads, 2 entrees & 2 desserts. We really enjoyed both meals.
