Zermatt is one of the most stunning places in the Swiss Alps, it’s a winter wonderland and home to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Europe. I cannot recommend a trip there enough. The town is small, but offers a great selection of restaurants for dinner after a long day on the slopes. I spent plenty of my trip sampling the best eats Zermatt had to offer, and I’ve put together my 9 favorites below!

Best Fine Dining
Fine dining, a modern twist on traditional Swiss cuisine. This restautant feels old school, has great views and a menu with good variety of Swiss options. Definitely make reservations if you’re planing to head here!

The Grill
Best Steakhouse
A classic steakhouse located in the BEAUSiTE hotel. This place was delicious! A bit pricy, but everywhere in Zermatt is fairly pricy, and the quality was good for the price. The 15 hour potatoes were unreal!

Grampi’s
Best for Families
A popular, and family-friendly Italian spot right on the main street of Zermtt town. This casual spot had good pizza & pasta. It gets crazy busy, you definitely need a reservation in advance!
Soupi’s
Best To-Go Option
The cutest little to-go soup window in the cutest town. This spot was so cozy, and exactly what I needed on a chilly day. The baked potato soup was unreal. Grab a cup and enjoy it at the benches nearby with stunning Matterhorn views.
Ferdinand’s
Best Fondue in Zermatt
What’s a trip to Switzerland without a fondue restaurant? The upscale Ferdinand’s at the trendy Cervo Mountain Resort is the perfect spot after a long, chilly day in Zermatt.

Marlò Ristorante Pizzeria
Homemade Italian in Zermatt. This spot is a bit pricy, but the homemade pastas were delicious. I loved the lasagne.
Herz Stüberl
Best Cafe
Cozy little breakfast & lunch spot. This place was so cute, and everything was clearly homemade. They had the cutest outdoor patio and were super friendly!
Manud
Best Asian Cuisine
A fun ecclectic spot with views over Zermatt’s ice skating rink. This spot is part cafe/part Asian restaurant. This place was super lively
