10 Best Restaurants in Levi Finland: Where to Eat in Lapland’s Best Ski Town

Hotel Levi Panorama Bar

Updated on:

Levi might be known for its slopes, Northern Lights and glass igloos, but there’s also a bunch of restaurants for such a small town — and way more varied than you’d expect for a remote ski resort in Finnish Lapland. Whether you’re after a quick lunch mid-ski day, looking for an apres ski pint and some nachos, or want a proper sit-down dinner after a day of adventures, Levi has you covered. These were my tpo picks!

A heads up: most restaurants in Levi are seasonal and hours change, so always worth checking ahead, especially if you’re visiting in summer or shoulder season. I’ve linked menus where available below!

Best On-Mountain Restaurants Levi

Restaurant Panorama

If you’re going to splurge on one mountain meal in Levi, make it here. Restaurant Panorama sits inside Hotel Levi Panorama with some of the best views in Levi— you can ski right in from the Front Slope, take the Levi Express gondola up for free in the evenings, or drive up. The menu is a mix of international dishes with a Lappish twist, and the a la carte dinner is worth booking a table for. After dinner, head one floor up to the Panorama Sky Bar — a rooftop bar with a glass ceiling and unreal panoramic views across the mountain village. On a clear night this is as good as it gets in Levi.

Ravintola Horizont

For an on-mountain lunch or a drink with a view, Horizont is my go-to. It sits right at the top of Levi’s Front Slopes with stunning views — and if you time it right, the sunsets from here are absolutely unreal. The menu is solid slope-side fare: pizzas, classic Finnish dishes like fried vendace and sautéed reindeer, salads and sandwiches. It’s casual, reliably good and way less crowded than some of the other mountain spots. You could in theory walk here from Hotel Levi Panorama, but generally easier to get to if you’re on the slopes.

Best Restaurants in Levi Town

Kota Cafe & Bar

Cozy, centrally located and the perfect apres ski spot right in Levi town. Kota hits that sweet spot of being great for a casual lunch, a mid-afternoon drink, or an early dinner — and the atmosphere is warm and lively with live music and a crowd that’s just come off the mountain. Sports bar, cocktails, great coffee, it’s got everything. This is one of those places you pop into for one drink and end up staying for three.

Stefan's Steakhouse Ruka Finland

Stefan’s Steakhouse

This is my top pick for a proper dinner out in Levi — and I liked it so much I went twice, once in Levi and once in Ruka. Stefan’s is a steakhouse right next to the Front Slopes, and the menu runs the full range from dry-aged Finnish beef to Wagyu cuts, with an excellent wine list to match. If you’re celebrating something or just want a really good meal, this is where to go.

Pizzeria Via Tribunali Levi
Pizzeria Via Tribunali Levi

Pizzeria Via Tribunali

Genuinely excellent Neapolitan pizza in the middle of Finnish Lapland — not something you’d necessarily expect, but here we are. Via Tribunali is an award-winning chain that opened their Levi outpost in early 2025, and it’s the real deal. AVPN certified (that’s the official Neapolitan pizza association stamp of approval), wood-fired oven, perfect crust. It’s walk-in only — no reservations — but if there’s a wait, grab a seat at the cocktail bar with an Aperol Spritz and call it a warm-up.

Ristorante Renna

A cozy Italian spot right in Levi town with great pizzas and pastas. Renna has a really warm, casual vibe — the kind of place where you settle in for a long dinner and work your way through a bottle of wine after a long day of exploring Lapland. The portions are generous, the pasta is delicious, and they do a reindeer pizza with lingonberry that’s a fun Lappish twist on the classic. Walk-ins only, so go earlier or be ready to wait in peak season — worth it.

Best Bars & Casual Spots Levi

Pub Hölmölä

This is Levi’s most fun, no-frills pub and honestly one of my favorite spots in the whole resort. Hölmölä is a classic sports bar — multiple screens showing every sport imaginable, free pool tables, darts, board games and a genuinely lively atmosphere. The food menu leans Mexican: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos — all surprisingly good for a bar in the middle of Lapland. Great beers on tap, a big crowd, and the kind of vibe that makes an après ski drink turn into a whole evening out.

Lost Tacos

A solid Mexican spot in the middle of Finnish Lapland — yes, really, and it’s delicious. Lost Tacos was started by two chefs with fine dining backgrounds who decided to channel that into seriously good premium street food. The tacos use 100% blue corn tortillas and some have a Lappish twist (sea buckthorn and jalapeño vinaigrette, rainbow trout ceviche). The cocktails and margaritas are great, the vibe is cute and lively, and it’s a fun change of pace from the mountain food scene. Also good for burritos and bowls if you want something more filling.

Best Quick Bites & Counter Service Levi

Chef’s Burger

When you want a really good smash burger without a lot of fuss, Chef’s Burger is your spot. Counter service, small menu, fast — the double cheese smash and the Royal smash are the ones to get. This is the kind of place you duck into after a long day on the slopes when you want something quick, cheap (by Levi standards) and genuinely satisfying. Don’t overthink it.

Burger Company Levi

Another counter service smash burger spot in town — small, casual and great for a quick meal between activities. The smash burgers are the highlight and the portions are solid. Good option if Chef’s Burger has a queue or you want something in a different part of town.
