Bruges was one of my favorite places to wander around as a photographer, every corner I turned was another dreamy alleyway, charming canal, picturesque footbridge or post-card like square. I also visited in the winter during the Christmas Markets, which were extra photogenic & the moody, cloudy days made for great reflections and photography.
These were my ten favorite spots to photograph, see the map for the location and below for the photos from each location.

Best Photo Spots in Bruges Map
Photo Spot 1: Rosary Quay
The most stunning spot in Bruges, the views in all directins at Rosary Quay are uneal, and it’s the best sunset spot. The view looking out over the canals is the most popular photograph in Bruges, and then the street behind that view was my personal favorite
Photo Spot 2: Bruges Cutest Alley
I stumbled across this spot and it really felt like a postcard & was somehow empty midday when I wandered through! This spot was adorable
Photo Spot 3: Boniface Bridge (Bonifaciusbrug)
Bruges most photographed footbridge! This spot really does feel like a fairytale! If you want good pictures get there in the morning, it get insanely crowded!
Photo Spot 4: Grote Markt
Bruges main square is undoubtedly is one of the most stunning areas of Bruges and most photogenic (although the crowds can make it hard to get geat photos) For the best aerial views head to the Duvelorium bar at the Bruges Historium (you can go to the bar without a ticket)
Photo Spot 6: Eirmarkt
This picturesque square is right next to Grote Markt & is home to one of my favorite bars in Bruges, Bar de Amis. This spot was so stunning, and photographed so well on a cloudy day
Photo Spot 6: De Burg
This main square De Burg is attached to Grote Marktand is home to the stunning (and photogenic) City Hall of Bruges. This is worth a stop during daytime and at night.
Photo Spot 7: Walplein
One of the cutest squares in Bruges & super photogenic! This is also a great spot to grab lunch or a drink on one of the many patios
Photo Spot 8: View of Brewery Bourgogne des Flandres
The best (and one of the prettiest) brewries in Bruges. The views from across the canal are the best
Photo Spot 9: Jan van Eyckplein
One of my favorite spots in Bruges, I didn’t stumble across here until the end of my second day exploring, but it’s so worth a stop for photo.
Photo Spot 10: Minnewater Park (Lake of Love & Lovers Bridge)
I feel like I didn’t get the best photos here and it would be more stunning in the fall, spring or summer, but the area around Minnewater Park is beautiful & the Lovers Bridge across the Lake of Love is very picturesque.
