this was my favorite view in the Dolomites — and this was my favorite view in the Dolomites — and I don’t get how no one is talking about it. I did SO much research for this trip, and saw this mentioned nowhere. It’s in Bolzano, the cutest little town known as the gateway to the Dolomites. The cable car is only a 5 minute walk from the train station, costs €10 round trip, and takes 15 minutes to reach the top. For €16 you can add on a scenic train that winds between small mountain towns with some of the most stunning views I’ve seen in the entire region. Most people go to the Dolomites and head straight for Lago di Braies or Seceda — both incredible, zero complaints — but Bolzano is such a hidden gem, is so easy, and so worth it. I actually love basing myself in Bolzano to explore the Dolomites, but it’s worth a stop for the cable car alone! There’s also a restaurant at the top with a patio and views that will make you want to never come back down👀. So. You know. Plan accordingly. hotels i’d spend a car payment on again pt. 1 🏔️🥂 hotels i’d spend a car payment on again pt. 1 🏔️🥂 📍The Cambrian Hotel — Adelboden, Switzerland Adelboden is already one of the most underrated towns in the Swiss Alps — off the beaten path, insanely stunning, and nothing like the crowds of Interlaken or Grindelwald. The I checked into the Cambrian, and genuinely never wanted to leave. The infinity pool has direct views of the Alps (you’re literally floating in water staring at the mountains). Breakfast is a full buffet that you eat on a patio overlooking said mountains. The Axe Bar has views of the Alps and Engstligen Falls that I still think about. Not a cheap stay, but zero regrets. Would do it again immediately. I like to splurge on one hotel for every longer trip, so the cheap hotel I stayed at in Interlaken helped cove this one 🤣 Comment “ADELBODEN” for my full travel guide
The best view of every major monument in Rome isn’ The best view of every major monument in Rome isn’t from the street — it’s from a rooftop bar. 🥂😉 Trevi Fountain from above (no elbowing required) ✔️ Colosseum views from a Michelin starred restaurant ✔️ 360 degree views of the Vatican from inside Castel Sant’Angelo ✔️ The Spanish Steps at sunset with live music ✔️ Rome has a rooftop bar with a view of basically every landmark worth seeing, and most people walk right past them. I spent way too many trips to Rome figuring this out so you don’t have to. Comment “ROME” and I’ll send you details on all 10 bars with a map— save this one for your Rome trip. 🍷
Budapest ruined me. I’ve visited dozens of cities Budapest ruined me. I’ve visited dozens of cities across Europe and nothing quite compares — Budapest is chic, lively, and electric in a way that genuinely caught me off guard, and just genuinely cooler than any other city I’ve visited. The thermal baths, the ruin bars, the most beautiful cafe in the world — it delivers on every front. And then there’s the Parliament building. I never once got sick of looking at it. I saw it from Fisherman’s Bastion, from a rooftop restaurant, from Tram 2 along the river — but nothing compares to seeing it lit up from the water at night on a Danube river cruise. Just an hour long, one free drink in hand, and it might honestly be the best hour you spend in the entire city.
