You just landed in Iceland. Where are you headed f You just landed in Iceland. Where are you headed first? ✈️

Iceland will forever be one of my favorite countries, 12 of my favorite places from my trips

1. Seljalandsfoss: the stunning waterfall you can walk behind. Go at sunset, and find the hidden Gljúfrabúi waterfall next door
2. Skógafoss: a huge wall of water right off the Ring Road. If you’re lucky you’ll see a full rainbow
3. Black Sand Beach: basalt columns and wild waves near Vík. Never turn your back on the ocean here
4. Blue Lagoon: Iconic & worth it. 20 minutes from the airport, so go straight from your flight or on your way back. They even have luggage storage
5. Brúarfoss: the blue waterfall, and that color needs zero editing. Just a 5–10 minute walk from the parking lot
6. Sky Lagoon: 15 minutes from downtown Reykjavik with infinity-style ocean views. Go for sunset and book ahead, it sells out
7. Ice caves: winter only, and you need a guided tour from the Glacier Lagoon. Black, deep blue and crystal blue caves
8. Hvammsvík Hot Springs: oceanfront hot springs 45 minutes from Reykjavik, with a swim-up bar and cold plunges in the sea
9. Gullfoss: a massive waterfall dropping 105 feet into a canyon. Look for rainbows on sunny days
10. Öxarárfoss: a quieter waterfall at the bottom of Thingvellir National Park, about a 10-minute walk from the lower parking lot. Extra stunning in winter
11. Reykjavik: walkable, colorful and full of cozy cafés. Take the elevator up Hallgrímskirkja for the views
12. Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach: icebergs floating in Jökulsárlón, and right across the road, chunks of ice glittering on black sand. Both are free to visit. It’s about 5 hours from Reykjavik, so stay a night on the South Coast

Which one’s your first stop? Drop the number 👇

Boston in October is something else. Salem gets al Boston in October is something else. Salem gets all the Halloween hype, but I’ve spent my whole life here and Boston is better 👀🎃

Brownstones covered in giant skeletons, gas lamps on cobblestone streets, and fall leaves everywhere you look. Boston is home for me, and fall is one of the prettiest times to explore the city.

How to see Boston’s Halloween houses:

🏚️ Beacon Hill: wander Mount Vernon, Chestnut and Pinckney Streets, then snap a photo on Acorn Street. Finish on Charles Street for shops and a drink
🧱 Back Bay: walk the Commonwealth Avenue Mall and the side streets like Marlborough and Beacon, where the brownstone stoops go all out
🍁 Walk through the Boston Common and the Public Garden on the way for the foliage
🕯️ Go around dusk when the gas lamps and decorations light up
📅 Decorations go up through October, so plan for the second half of the month
🙏 These are people’s homes, so admire from the sidewalk and stay off the stoops

📍 Beacon Hill & Back Bay, Boston, Massachusetts

Save this for next October, and comment FALL for my guide to the best fall weekend getaways in New England.

Bavaria in the fall truly feels like a storybook 🍂 Bavaria in the fall truly feels like a storybook 🍂

Golden leaves over medieval walls, a castle in the mountains and beer gardens in Munich. Bavaria is one of my favorite parts of Germany, and autumn is a dreamy time to go.

How to see all three:

🍺 Munich: base yourself here for the first few days. Wander Marienplatz and Old Town, grab a beer at Hofbräuhaus, and bike through the English Garden to the Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm
🏰 Neuschwanstein Castle: the castle that inspired Sleeping Beauty’s Disney castle. It’s a full day trip from Munich, about 2 hours each way by train and bus. Viewing it from the outside is free, and honestly the outside is what you’re there for, book tickets advance for inside it sells out
🏘️ Rothenburg ob der Tauber: colorful gingerbread houses, cobblestone streets and medieval walls you can walk on top of. Head just outside the walls for the best countryside view
🚆 Getting there: take the train from Munich through Nuremberg, and stop to explore on the way

📍 Munich, Neuschwanstein & Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bavaria, Germany

Comment BAVARIA and I’ll send you my full 5-day Bavaria itinerary.
