Planning a Trip to Oslo
Oslo is Norway’s capital city. I only got to spend 24 hours in Oslo on my way to and from Lofoten. Oslo seemed like a cool city that I’d like to explore a bit more – there was shopping, tons of saunas, an Opera house, art & more. Next time I visit Norway I plant to spend a bit more time exploring!

The Top Retaurant Bar & Terrace
This stunning rooftop terrace is open year round on the rooftop of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel. It offers stunning views of the Oslo skyline. This is an upscale spot serving Norwegian food and great cocktails.
Thief Rooftop
This seasonal rooftop on the top of the trendy Thief hotel is another great option for drinks with views in downtown Oslo. On the weekends you’ll find a DJ here as well.

Where to Stay in Oslo
Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Oslo
I stayed at the Thon Hotel Rosenkratz on my last trip to Oslo. It’s in a super convenient location about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Their breakfast was delicious and I had a nice dinner at the restaurant downstairs. It’s right in the center of everything you’d want to see when visiting Oslo.
Radisson RED, Oslo Airport
If you’re flying through Oslo to explore other areas of Norway and need to spend a night near the ariport, the Radisson RED is a super convenient option. It’s a 5 minute walk from the airport. They had an on-site restaurant and bar, which was also convenient as your about 20 minutes from downtown Oslo.
