*Backpacks & Bubbly – Top Pick for Drinks With A View*
La Banya
La Banya is a restaurant/beach club in Korčula with stunning Adriatic views. From Old Town you can get a taxi there (it’s about a ten minute drive)
Grab a table or a lounge chair, order a margarita, hang out on the stunning ocean swing or take a dip in the oceanside pool. This place was incredible!
Where to Stay in Korčula
Korcula is a small island and most of the restaurants and hotels are contained to the Old Town area. This area is also walkable from where the ferry docks, so I recommend staying here.
Aminess Korčula Heritage Hotel
I stayed at the Aminess Korčula Heritage Hotel in the Old Town on my recent trip to Korčula, and would definitely recommend! The hotel rooms are a bit older, but clean and in a great location on the harbor.
The included breakfast was wonderful and served on their stunning patio. The patio is also a great place to grab a sunset drink!
Best Things to do in Korčula
Korčula is a small, sleepy island in the best way. It’s a great place to unwind after a busy trip to cities like Split and Dubrovnik!
I recommend exploring the Old Town, spending a day at La Banya beach club, and maybe taking a boat or bike tour around the island. But for the most part I recommend spending a few days relaxing on the Adriatic!
Getting to Korčula
The best way to get to Korčula is via ferry. Korčula is accessible by ferry from both Dubrovnik and Split. I took the ferry to and from Dubrovnik and it was super convenient. It runs daily and took about two hours.
I use Ferry Hopper to book my tickets. They allow you compare prices & times across different ferry companies to find the best option for your trip.
There are also busses to Korčula – I really, really do not recommend taking busses anywhere in Croatia. I took several and had a poor experience on all of them.
Getting Around Korčula
The Old Town area of Korčula is super small and comprised of small alleys with stairs, and walking is the only way to get around.
For getting to other parts of the island I took a few taxis. The hotel called for me and it was super fast & convenient. Also, not too expensive!
Safety for Solo Female Travel in Korčula
5 out of 5
Korčula was super safe (all of Croatia was really) I’d definitely go back as a solo female traveler without hesitation!
